Après un service religieux conduit par le Révérend Canon Wilkinson, dans l’église d’Hotton, un dépôt de gerbes s’est fait au monument dédié aux parachutistes de la SAS et situé juste à la sortie de l’église. Ensuite, tout ce monde s’est rendu au cimetière militaire britannique d’d’Hotton, situé à un km de là.
Le Contre-amiral de la Royal Navy, Président de la RBL Brussels Branch a prononcé une allocution, ainsi d’Allan Campbell, Deputy Ambassador britannique, et M. François Roberti-Lintermans, vétéran et Membre de la RBL. Après le Last Post, une salve d’honneur tirée pat la garde d’honneurs composée d’hommes du 4e Bataillon Logistique de Marche et la minute de silence, un dépôt de gerbes a encore eu lieu. Nous y avons déposé la nôtre, en tant que « The Belgians Remember Them – Memorials in Belgium »
Les participants ont pu alors honorer les militaires tombés durant la deuxième Guerre Mondiale et enterrés dans ce cimetière.
La particularité du cimetière militaire britannique d’Hotton est que la plupart des militaires qui y reposent ont été tués fin 1944 et début 1945, lors de l’offensive von Runstedt.

After a religious service conducted by the Reverend Canon Wilkinson, in the church of Hotton, a wreath depot was made at the monument dedicated to the SAS paratroopers and located just outside the church. Then they all went to the Hotton British War Cemetery, which is a mile away.
The Rear Admiral of the Royal Navy, President of the RBL Brussels Branch, delivered a speech, along with Allan Campbell, British Deputy Ambassador, and Mr. François Roberti-Lintermans, Veteran and Member of the RBL. After the Last Post, a salute of honor was fired by the Guard of Honours composed of men of the 4th Logistic Battalion of Marche and the minute of silence, a wreath depot was again held. We submitted ours as “The Belgians Remember Them – Memorials in Belgium”
The participants were able to honour the soldiers who died during the Second World War and buried in this cemetery.
The special feature of the British military cemetery at Hotton is that most of the soldiers who lie there were killed in late 1944 and early 1945, during the von Runstedt offensive.
